UP DATE PART 3

Hi all, sorry it's been a little bit of time since the last post, been very busy of late and have a lot to catch up on. This is just a little up date. So left off taking one off the box trailer to Manchester then the boat to Holland.

This is one of our show trl's with the Disney logo on it.

Looking good in the sun at Clacket lane services M25.

OK got off the boat and headed for the yard did a pick up, one of the empty 40ft's and back to the yard. Then we had a job out of Amsterdam to Spain it was a sailing competition "EXTREME 40 SAILING SERIES" and Spain was there last city in Europe. There was a crane booked for 15oohrs, there was 4 of us so as it was in the middle of Amsterdam's enviromental area the times were, 2 0f us at 15.00hrs then me and Stef at 16.00hrs.

This is a strange building coming into Amsterdam, the company INGE'S . Looks like something out of Star trek.

OK getting ready, lifting one of the container's onto Stefan's. The building in the back ground was a borstal in its day, very long a go and for you who do not know what a borstal is, it was for teenagers who were to young to go to jail for there crimes so they sent them here. But today it's a hotel.

This one is going on me and no there was no beer left in it. (dam shame) We could do with this on our tour but don't think the boss would like us pulling this around all season because of the cost of fuel. Just so we can have a nice warm cafe and bar.

OK got it on and getting ready to go, that's the DHL man in front looking like he has done something. DHL where dealing with the traffic for this competition which is going all over the world. I understand that it's his job to make sure all is well. OK all i was doing with this one is back to the yard for someone else to take to Spain as i was leaving in the morning for Rome Italy.

OK had to pick up a stack of chassis's not far from Rotterdam got there and the middle one had a flat tyre on it they said just put some air in it and it will be OK, I said No way, so they got a fork lift in and I lifted them up and the tyre man came and there was a nail in it. So that was sorted but i lost about 3hrs waiting for them the sort it out then strap it all down again and then left for Rome. The post about the trip to Rome i will do next.

So keep it sunny side up till then ......
